Case Studies
ISAI Technologies takes a long-term and flexible approach to technology and design evaluations. We use our knowledge of major mobile software technologies to help you decide upon the best platform and design process for your application.
Here is a selection of our most recent mobile applications.
Conservative Party Conference
Blackberry App Development
The Conservative Party Conference is a yearly event where every attendee receives an events brochure detailing the speakers, timing and location of each event.
ISAI Technologies developed an application that enabled users to view all the information they required on their phone. Deployable on most internet enabled phones, users could view and manage conference events on their phone, save their favourite events and create their own personal diary enabling them to keep track of their planned movements.
Such an application can be adapted to almost any major event of this type.
Instructacard Golf Training
iPhone Golf Training App
Instructacard is a well established pocket golf training manual designed and approved for use on the golf course. mVenture worked with the designers of the book, create and deploy a mobile application for use on the iPhone and the iTouch.
ISAI Technologies trained the design agency on the specifications required when designing for the iPhone, developed and produced the structure, workflow and final application.
Project Buzz
Windows Mobile - Application Development
ISAI were contracted to build a mobile front end to a product that harnesses honey bees to detect drugs and explosives, using similar techniques used by Pavlov and dogs many years ago.
A hand held device that holds honey bees that can detect very small quantities of particles in the air was built by scientists at Rothampstead Institute to be used at airports around the world (some airports currently keep commercial hives for this purpose). They needed a mobile plug in that allowed the device to be moved around the airport easily and translate the bees actions into a user friendly picture of what chemicals have been detected and enable this information to be easily sent to the relevant departments.
We completed this project in early 2010 and the device has now gone to the Home Office and US Homeland Security for testing.
Airport Park and Ride
Web Development - Automated Car Park System
When the Airlink Group first began their search for a new car park pre-booking system they knew exactly what “They didn’t want it to do”. Limited by software with no online pre-booking or management reporting capability, Parksafe were struggling to process last-minute bookings, monitor sales, accept agency bookings or manage parking capacity effectively for their tens of thousands of annual customers.
ISAI Technologies developed a system that enables Parksafe customers to pre-book their car parking easily online from the company’s website www.airportparkandride.co.uk, or by phone. The system will soon be intelligently integrated with access control allowing customers to benefit from state-of-the-art ticketless parking. Customers simply insert the same credit card they used for their online booking into the barrier to both access and exit the car park, secure in the knowledge that their space is guaranteed and there will be no queues to cause delay.
ISAI Technologies has also had a positive impact on life in the back office. “As more and more customers recognise the benefits of booking their parking at a discounted rate online, fewer transactions need to be processed through our call centre which means our staff are freed up to work in other important areas of the business. Operationally it also has advantages for our employees working at the front end who have commented on how easy the system is to use when processing car parking bookings.
With a streamlined car parking operation in place it is no surprise that the growth in parking sales for Parksafe has been significant. The new system helps Parksafe manage parking capacity effectively and, at the same time, provide their customers with a high level of service. With rising numbers of customers and a system they can rely on neither they nor ISAI have looked back.
